The first time I ever tasted a caprese salad was at Gino’s Italian Ristorante on the second floor of Capital Terrace, on 8th Street in Downtown Boise. My boyfriend, now husband, was amazed as I was at how delicious it was.
When Gino’s built a new restaurant at McMillan and Ten Mile in Meridian, it seemed so far away. But as development happened, it became apparent the move was genius.
The dipping oil plus spices always make me eat too much bread. No regrets, though.
