Potato Chip Flashback

I was thinking about this the other day. Remember when some Albertsons stores had these giant potato chip making/cooking machines?

Whole potatoes went in one end, and fried chips came out the other. Tossed with salt and seasonings by hand. And there were always fresh chips to sample. You could even order custom seasoning.

Wonder what they did with all these machines?
