Zephyr summer squash is green for the bottom third of each fruit. I’ve grown this before and the green part is usually a darker hue. But when there is extreme heat, it can lose color.
This one will be my lunch today, so I will update with a taste review later. It’s usually mild with a nutty flavor, but the recent heat dome + smoke – well, who knows?
