A quick glance at my potting bench and I noticed something new in the old native bee box. The bright green in the lower right hand corner is a new nest.
I didn’t put in new blocks for bees this year, but a leaf cutter bee mommy found a spot anyway.
My boxes usually have several different types of bees. Here’s a clip of a mason bee setting up her nursery a few years ago.
